meh

A bad day: no comment.

A good day: finding out Coyo has spammed new fic.

...huh. That really DOES make many things better!

Hmm

War Maid's Choice

...I have no idea if I should be excited about this (as in bouncing off the walls gleeful) or hiding in a corner from more madness concerning the Sothoii. Eh, I'll be waiting for paperback anyways, but still.

....DoJ is now more canon to me than canon - yikes and squee! Anyone else have this "problem"?

Saving Conner

Harry Potter AU, first of 7 (all completed, thank gods). Rich, and well done, and painful for me to read for reasons not worth going into, though I'll point out I'm on book 3 and intend to read 'em all. Good stuff so far.

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

Take Harry Potter (...you... really might want to have read the actual books first). Make Harry a genius little 10 year old, who is TOTALLY scientifically logical and reasonable. And for the love of gods, do not be drinking while you read it.

Mind, I'm only through chapter 5, but gods above, I'm stuck. Wheeee, heart chapter 5 so much!

AND the author is a Feynman fan. I am happy.

EDIT: pretty important here. Um... Chapter 7 has some... things that might Cause Issues with folks. Adult topics (not too unknown in this fandom) - but it says something that it's taken me a bit to get my head around the fact that the author no, really did mean some thing. So if there are things one is not comfortable reading, check his info page first for the warnings. Gleep.

Just a little crazy

Ok, so I'm nuts enough to be reading through [livejournal.com profile] ursulav's old live journal posts. Yes, all of them. From the beginning in '02.

Yes, I know it's nuts.

Why? Good question. I'm not sure? Best guess: I love her writing, and there's some profound and hilarious things in there. AND the comments are fascinating.

But. I really must stop this urge to add every other entry into my memories. Even if it IS freaking awesome and laugh out loud quality stuff.

Right?

Right.

But in the meantime, damn, she's educational, too. They use rats to find landmines. Who knew?
