And down this trouser leg over here....

... we have an excuse and way to link Many Interesting Things as I bitch about my life.
Dear Creativity Daemons,
I hope you don't mind me addressing you like this, but I've been reading too much
dear_gnome lately*. And we need to Have Words.
Now, I appreciate you acting up, especially in a constrained, "really honestly truly just one scene!" fashion - that's very genteel of you. But this one can't work. I don't mean the scene, I mean writing it. Even though I've given in to you enough to get the first part down on metaphorical paper, you're still sitting there, and your muse is whispering that haunting line to me over and over again**.
See, it's not my universe. I get that David Weber is (if I'm reading the confusing webpage from HELL correctly) working on a Norfressa novel next. And you're not even from his main 'verse, you're from Demon of Justice.
But that's the thing. The Writers SHALL NOT BE HARASSED. Not by me, not by you, and not anyone I am in clue-by-four reach of. And I really AM patiently waiting for the next installment. Yes, I will admit to a slow burn aaaaangst about Chapter 32 and that [spoilery thing], especially since I decided rereading Oath of Swords was a good idea. It's hitting me harder, like the slow avalanche tumbling down onto my head in a Wily Coyote kind of way, and this is your way of trying to help me cope.
But you can damn well wait until Chapter 33 is out, since I don't think The Writers would be evil enough to leave Important Threads hanging for later chapters, and (here's the important bit!): so what if they did?? Patience is a GOOD thing. I can wait, and so will you.
So shuddup and siddown, you pesky voices in my head. I can outwait you too, and you need me to write it, and let's face it: Mel and Christy will do it better.
Got you cold on that last part, didn't I.
with much frustrated love,
Norcumi
p.s.: If you want to work on that omake about the Torframos Chapter Jesters of the Gods and some poor slob, that's ok. You snickered rather a lot about that one, why not poke at it instead?
* thanks,
justicevoles! If you haven't read any of it, it is... a good way to lose hours of your day, actually.... O_o
**Chesmirsa, hon, I've always loved you, but if you keep it up I'm reporting you to Orr for griefing, and he has a sidekick to keep you off of me!!

Date: 2011-06-21 02:44 am (UTC)...go right ahead, hon, we'd love to read it! :D Fanfic does not count as harassment unless you rant about how your vision of the story is Better, and we all know the chances of you doing that are less than zero.
(Don't worry, chapter 33 is moving right along and we have our future plot clear in our minds and the Evil Notes file, if you're scared of warping our writing it won't happen... and face it, we're warped already. :3)
