So there was an almost guild run with JC dps-ing, Sozur's alt healing, and his brother tanking. Enter the pug fun. Amoong of Gnomeregon, nelfy death knight. First off, the tendency to be in blood spec made me cringe, and the almost random summoning of the non-perma-ghoul. When she finally asked the group which spec was for tanking, I was rolling my eyes and going "ok, so you haven't been on this alt since cata dropped. Ok." Then the shaman grumbled that she was having issues, sorry, all wrong glyphs give a sec to change? Not an issue, ok - then Amoong comments "pah - don't have any on my main!"

-_-;

When they had a bit of an issue wanting to know how to get the damage bar (chart?) back, I personally gave up. The leader was trying to advise how to get recount working, Amoong kept going on how it was the one "they" provided - ugh. There was more issues, most minor stuff with only the consistent theme of "get me away from this person!"

I loves the internets. No matter how bad you are, there's always someone else out there who's worse.

Is it just me, or do people seem to get worse as the levels get higher?

ârachnia, one of my blueberry hunters, has reached the magical shores of the 65-69 bracket, and I swear to Godzilla, people understood AB better back at 29.

And I'm fast losing track of the number of newly-minted worgen I've seen who think they can use running wild to carry the wsg/eots flags.

I will by gods pull out of this slump! A much delayed post (sorry!), but here it is!

No, I don't think it's you. I think in the general case, folks experiment with some things at the low levels, then go mad questing/using the dungeon tool, and then by the time they get to higher levels all they've learned is bad PuG habits. Dungeons and battlegrounds are easier to get to than ever, and so "why not experiment?" becomes "hey, that worked well enough, easy honor and it's easier to queue for this than quest!"

Then there's the learning curve Blizzard used for Wrath to Cata dungeons, which is so sharp it gave me whiplash. I suspect it harks back to the days you're more familiar with than I, but so far the cata dungeons have turned me off from running randoms. It's not that they're too hard, it's that they're 1, trying WAY too hard to be cool (oh my gods, cut scenes do NOT belong in dungeons!!!!eleventy1!), and 2, too long for me to bother with. :-/ I'm hoping when I finally scale up some decent gear that might be different, but... meh.

I'm also guessing that running wild makes you drop the flag, same as getting on a mount?
