norcumiOk, so since I keep running into those wonderful examples of gene pool goodness, I'm making a list for myself of WoW folks to never, EVER group with again. Mmm, now with tags. Feel free to ignore the frenzied screaming to follow.
Fizzcrank realm is now as suspect as Duskwood. Lovely. Thank gods I'm on Terrokar, and thus not guaranteed to be around these gems.
Khriss is a moron. Calls himself a tank, but Jesus wept how the hells do I know how to tank better than he does? For a DK, it's simple: Death and Decay, death grip a caster, frozen blood or whatthehellsever it is when need be, if you're a belf use your draining skills and hit till dead. Use the blood strike to heal self, pestilence as often as need be, helps if your talents also include the whatever it is that has hands rising from the ground, desecration or whatever. Use a permanent ghoul. The only thing I think this MORON had going for him was he had frost talents, though the armory might be slow to catch up. Also? If'n it's your first time tanking, SAY SO. Your party might hate you less. And when the healer says "keep going, stop lolly-gagging around with the claim that it's about my mana, I will tell you when I need to stop" - then don't freaking stop! And when a nice tanking blue ring comes up, ROLL NEED, and don't leave it for me to win greed on since I don't think I want to freaking tank though with you around who knows, I certainly wouldn't be that frikkin' awful!
Finally, when the DK (one of the 3 in the party) 3 levels above you starts tanking instead, do try not to throw a tanty and keep insisting "so you want me to leave then?" - do what the nice troll tells you to do, STOP DEATH GRIP PULLING MOBS, and shut up.

Last note to self: Ledice, as one of the 3 death knights in a group, kindly stop bashing ALL of us just 'cause one's a moron and the other seems to have a vocabulary of "lol" - I might not be a fantastic tank, but I'm better than you. And learn to feign death. You are almost on the shit list too.

Bear in mind this was a low level toon - I ran into him first in RFC and then in SFK - and paladins at that low don't really do great at either role. Even so, skill and sense can make up for a lot, and he had NEITHER. XD

Date: 2010-06-13 07:02 pm (UTC)Keman is horde side, but he's mostly there to farm gold (and level to farm gold better) so that maybe-once-a-year-at-most when Lynati visits, the lowbie alts we play will have gold. My idle goal is to have my banker alt do the usual dance of "welcome back to Terokkar, yes you have to respec your talents, I have these enchants available, and here's your portion of gold I've farmed since last time as well as some fun items" - and then handing over a K of gold to party members. >:-D No idea if it'll happen, but if I'm making 45 g per stack of Outlands plants, maybe not THAT crazy.
Mostly, though - it's making me hanker to get JC or Hepzibet into Outlands. :)
