Oh, I'm happy to finally see the story told, don't get me wrong about that. I am glad we are getting the comics- but we all had really high hopes for them art-wise as well, having been spoiled by gargoyles fanart from the fandom's best and brightest for ten years now. Most of us were expecting the professional work to be at least on par with the fan-works (even given that a number of the fan artists are now professional artists in their own right.)

Look at Stephanie Lostimolo's cover. The book will be good, but can you imagine how it would blow your socks off if the interior artwork looked about like that, too?
