Also, being sick sucks
So life has been a little crazy since November, which is the last substantial update.
First off there was the wedding down in Dallas – really a lovely time there. I know it wouldn't really work in terms of timing, but I do wish there could've been a day or two longer in the area to hang out with real life friends ::waves to all involved::
Of course, even if we had been able to allocate an extra day or two, the funeral that followed would've made things somewhere between awkward and impossible, so all's well as it went.
M'family visit went okay; my mother likes visiting and it's the first time mine honorable brother has been to Pittsburgh since we were very small. Lots of nummy food was eaten and a good time seems to have been had by all. Oh, and it turns out mine honorable brother is also apparently engaged, which was a bit of a o_O moment (in no small part due to it being delivered in much the same fashion). This weekend he's getting married, which means more funtastic running around.
Because, you see, after my family visit, Christmas hit, and Quindar's parents came to visit. It was short, it was over Christmas, and it was a bit on short notice. But that's ok, since we were planning on spending the week around New Year's in Philly with the bride and groom from our Dallas adventures (and thus Lynati and their cats).
Add in a ski trip in the end of January, and I'm really, really ready to fall over.
Of course, in between visiting folks and skiing, I had a... bit of an Incident, wherein I lost my temper, punched a wall, and managed to break my hand. -_-;
… Don't punch walls; typing with the off side of your primary hand immobilized (unless you're cheating and typing something quick after taking the cast/brace off for a shower and before having to put it back on) really, REALLY sucks. So pardon any typos, this thing can be clunky.
Things continue to look busy through April (dear sweet gods, let That Thing go through properly), by which point if I don't go out and get a job I will really finally go 'round the bend. In the meantime, I continue to eye my November prompts and try to comment on things – sorry all for dropping of the face of LJ for awhile; things've been a little crazy. -_-

I don't seem to be having an itchy-but-still-painful stage, probably in no small part due to the swiffy futuristic brace that's posing as my cast - I've been good and don't take it off TOO arbitrarily, but I don't have to shower with a plastic bag and one handed or anything. Helps a LOT.

I hope your hand heals quickly! (I want to add in, "And find something that inspires your creativity daemons!" but it occurs to me this is a graceless wish on a writer with an injured hand.)

Hope things are spiffy down your way; your updates hint that life is crazy-go-nuts in a Good For Lynati way.
