norcumi So... I get to blame Dogmatix again. Some of her lovely art illustrates a series of FF7 fic, much of it porny. That aside, I had a verrrry strange moment whilst contemplating that the fandom seems to pair Aeris with - well, almost anyone. This author in particular has her most of the time as a vaguely free-lovin' having a good time in an open relationship with [really only the same folks over and over, but it FEELS like more'n that]. So I scoff at this train of thought and go "C'mon, self, it's not like you've seen her paired with - oh, come on, what's weird? Reno - Hrk!"

Nope, I keep trying, and I can't see it. It breaks me. I mean, I've tried - and as a comparison, I look a a Rude/Aeris pairing and I shrug and go "Eh. Ok, I can see how that'd work" - but Aeris and Reno? Just mental static and strange hints of echo-y noises. And THEN I start wondering about the possibilities of an AU in which Aeris joined the Turks once upon a time, and dear brain I'd like to finish the game first before trying anything outrageous like that so shut the hells up!!!!
