In no particular order:

Still need to write and post pr0n for Aaron and Lyn, though I feel less guilty about Lyn's since it isn't more'n a snippet and I already did one for her. Nonetheless. Inertia is pesky to overcome. Just didn't want folks to think I'd forgotten or whatall.

My main distraction I continue to call my alt, though Kharisa is quickly becoming my default login. 80... is kinda nice. Let me rephrase. Level cap is neat. Part of it is how much gold this allows me to accumulate - this is good, since I still need about 2K for someone's uber flying. Kharisa is also being... difficult on 2 fronts. 1, she's an achievement monkey. That's all well and good, except we're into the holiday season, and getting 20 Halloween masks is much, MUCH tougher than it looks, and the character is... determined. She (and I) has/have kinda put the Argent tournament aside for the moment. In her case, it's because she doesn't feel worthy of being champion of anything, let alone Darnassus - she's undead, for Elune's sake! Me, I hate those dailies. They just don't interest me. So we're doing other things instead, because I can and so she can reconnect slowly with the world of the living. How soloing lots of dungeons and exploring the world quite does this, I don't know, but she apparently does. The second difficulty is directly tied to all the points so far: someone wants her a Cenarion Hippogryph, and that requires faction grinding and that, ladies and gentlemen, SUCKS. Especially since I've learned about the death knight only skeletal gryph, which if purchased once counts for both flying mounts and thus makes all my other death knights happy but noooo, someone wants away from all the undead nastiness and embrace the living aspect and -

Yeah. I sometimes have fun conversations with myself.

Yes, that is said in jest.

In the meantime, I also like that at 80, pretty much anything's ass can be handed to it. Especially when you've ground 400 of 400 in all your weapon skills. ::innocent smiley face:: Not that I know anyone who's gone and done that. Dungeons up into Outland are solo-able, save for those pesky raid things, and I might just poke at that some random day. Maybe. Meh.

When I finally manage to tear myself away from the niftyness of level cap abilities, I'll prolly be working up Sanjiyan or Jaycee Denton, if anyone wants to quest with a 35/44 type on Ysera.

Haven't seen guildbuddies in about 2 months, and disappearing buddies in WoW always makes me wonder if I've done something stupid, or if it's real life taking over. Since facebook indicates little other than real life continues, I'm trying to not be pesky and/or insecure. This time of year seems hard on everyone, especially students.

Speaking of midsemester.... Work, on the other hand, is... odd. No other commentary at this time, other than I hate perfume.

In other real life news, I have recently discovered PostSecret.

Wow. That stuff is heavy, and beautiful, and painful, and funny. No idea how long the link will last, but I was very proud that this week, only 1 made me cry. This hits so close to home. If you can find last week's, I recommend doing so. They were interesting.

*hugs*

I managed, for the most part, to avoid getting into my characters heads by just making them different masks for me- it's why I deliberately named them Lynati-one through..uh, thirteen? But then I had Izanami to fight alongside Aaron's Izanagi, and then Valloa, and she at least started to get a little chatty...anyway. I've been too busy with other things myself to play as of late, and I'm trying to write more and find I am more inclined to do so- and everything else- if I'm not already wrapped up in something else, like an uber-addictive mmorpg. I have no doubt I'll get back to it at some point, though.

And if you just found PostSecret, does that mean you never ran across FandomSecrets? The latter is much less profound, for the most part, but it does update far more often and a lot of the stuff can, well, sometimes it makes me feel less alone in geekitude and obsessiveness and such. http://community.livejournal.com/fandomsecrets/

I love PostSecret. I've actually had one of my secrets appear on the website, too. It was beautiful.

::hugs and pats:: It's cool; and you've mentioned it before. Like I tried to say; I know I'm 9.lots of 10 likely to just be insecure. You follow your obsessions, kay? It's fun to watch, and I know I'm just having issues. ;)

Hmm. Nope, never ran into it before. It's different, I'll give it that, but doesn't seem to be very much any fandom I care about. And the fandom agnostic ones just don't ring through with me. I'll give it a few more entries, though. :)

Oh gods I can totally understand whole character takes on a life of their own thing. Honestly, I wish sometimes I'd rolled RP, but there wasn't an RP-PVP ruleset when I started.

Jarbilong (my main, UD female rogue) had very, very definite opinions about an enormous number of things, including, but hardly limited to:

Pretty much worshiping Lady Sylvanas, right up until BC came out. Then the Dark Lady did everything short of relocating to Silvermoon to show how much more she cared about the Belfs than the Forsaken and Jar felt hurt, betrayed, and was sort of wobbly thereafter.

Rolling engineering specifically to make goggles so people couldn't see her empty eyesockets.

Despite her contempt for most of the living members of the Horde, she had a profound respect for Drek'Thar and the Frostwolf clan. Many, many hours were spent in AV doing base defense.

Brill was her home. She set her hearth there at level 6, and never changed it. Anyone who came to cause trouble in Brill got camped until they fled or logged. No matter where she was or what she was doing, if the Brill is under attack message popped up in World Defense, it was on like Donkey Kong.

Her absolute rejection of certain pieces of gear. "I don't care if it is an upgrade, it's FUGLY and I'm not wearing it."

Her sneaking, (and much denied) attraction to male night elves.

Her undying (no pun intended) love and admiration for Jack Bauer (don't ask).

Ironically, Jar was exalted with the Cenarian Expedition ages ago, but she rejected the mount Kharisa wants so badly on the grounds that "I'm not buying some damned Night Elf thing. Call me when there's a faction handing out giant bats."

Most of my alts were less talkative, although Llith was a spoiled little bitch who wanted nothing but the best gear, and believed that undeath had just made her thinner and sexier.

And then there was Wylfwood, poor old Wylf, who'd embraced undeath as a chance to make up for the scumbag he was in life. A self-described "lecher, drunkard, and faithless fake of a priest" came out of the ground believing in the miracle of the Light once more, and spent most of the time he wasn't mending faces in 19 WSG hanging around Deathknell handing out handmade bags to the new arrivals...

::grins:: Jar sounds like fun (well... ignoring the whole she's Horde and likely to find a way to melt my face thing... ;) ). And nope, wasn't gonna on the Jack Bauer thing.

Sadly enough, I have a way too strong tendency on the nixed fugly upgrades. Easy relevant example: I look at the WoW site, where they advertise the upcoming Tier 10 gear, and I can't imagine who the HELLS would be insane enough to want to wear ANY of it.

Wylfwood - Awwww!!!! That... just kicks so much ass. Now that's something to hit an RP server for/with.

"trying to scrape up a spare $40 for a copy of Lich King" -- ::winces:: I hope I haven't been doing the equivalent of waving Johnny Walker Blue in front of Leo by ranting about WoW like this (yes, yes I did somehow just manage to reference West Wing into WoW - help!). I hope I haven't. That aside, if you can stand Alliance PvE, I'm always happy to run around the Ysera server with folks. Or maybe see about that single Horde slot I've got reserved on there. Anyway. ::pats:: If you do go the LK route, I'd love to know what you think.

No no, not at all, I'm genuinely enjoying hearing about your gaming experience, and I like having someone to talk about wow with, especially someone who hasn't heard/wasn't there for all my war stories already. :)

When I come back, I'll definitely be rolling a dra- dre- dr- spacegoat DK to hang out with you and Lyn on Ysera, (I need to get used to the other side of the fence, if only for my inevitable Worgen) and who knows, maybe I'll finally take that RP server plunge after all...

Also, Lyn and I were helping make you a twink hunter on Spirestone as I recall, if you'd ever like to see how the other half lives.

*goes to look at the Tier 10 rogue gear*

...

ACK. Uh, apparently our helmet was modeled on the ragdoll people from 9... Then again, our last really good looking rogue set was, what, Darkmantle? Maybe Assassination?

Oh well, I console myself with the knowledge that I'll never raid hardcore enough to have to wear that...
