Don't mind answering questions? Like giving a helping hand? Want a spiffy button to show off?
Then please reply to this post or e-mail me, and at the convention you too can help a con virgin!
Details:
I'll be handing out Con Virgin Support buttons at the panel of the same name, and any other convenient time during the con to those who want to join. All you need to do is get word to me, wear the button (when you're willing to help out), and be nice to anyone who asks you questions.
I've found that there are always times when no matter how well prepared, no matter how many questions you thought to ask, something comes up that makes you want to go ask another con-goer for a bit of advice. It doesn't have to be staff. It doesn't have to be anyone in particular. It just has to be someone who doesn't mind potentially dumb questions - which usually turn out not to be too dumb after all! If you don't mind being a person who can be asked all those questions, please contact me. No cost, no requirements, just please wear the button I will give you at the con - one hour, one day, all the time, however long you want - and answer questions, give directions, and generally be a little helpful if asked. You don't have to move forward unless you want to. Take a little bit of All Those Questions off the staff, lend an easy hand, and maybe make some new friends.
